Launching your business takes a lot of focus and commitment. Most people think all you need is an idea and then promote it to the world, but it actually takes a lot of dedication, time and sacrifice to ensure that your company stands the test of time. No matter if it’s a food truck, clothing boutique or a cosmetic line, being an entrepreneur requires hard work and it’s important that you get as much support as possible to garner income and reach success.
Thankfully TBON, can make the process less stressful by providing the necessary guidance and tools. Check out the three key essentials TBON founders and entrepreneur experts, Quinton and Breonna Baker believe you need to start a business.
Create A Website
A website helps you and your business have a strong presence online. It is also used as an easy, quick resource for potential customers. A website gives them the ability to access your products and learn more about your brand, which makes it easier for them to determine whether they want to support you or not. In order to create a website, you must have a domain name, website and a payment system if you’re selling a product.
Some resources to help you develop your website include platforms like mobile payment company, Square Up, Inc. You can connect Square Up to web hosting service, Weebly. If you don’t want to create a website on your own, you can contact Kayleon Dortch-Elliot, who is a Wix-certified web designer.
Have A Social Media
Having a strong social media presence is essential for your business to thrive. This is another way for you as an entrepreneur to connect with your audience in innovative and creative ways. You’ll have the opportunity to post videos, photos and more to market your service to millions of people.
TBON suggests that you create a Facebook business page, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest. We’ll be soon following up with a more detailed blog on social media marketing, so make sure to be on the lookout for it!
Sign up for your LLC
Signing up for your LLC is not required, but recommended to make your business “official.” An LLC gives you the ability to protect your assets and offers taxation options. Quinton and Breonna recently launched a program called, “Fund my LLC Grant”. The goal of the program is to business owners establish their business with the state. They believe that this is the action needed to build a solid foundation for a Black business owner’s presentation.
In December, the Founders are asking all members of TBON who need their LLC to submit their names into the drawing. The drawing will take place on December 18, 2020, at 7p.m. Quinton and Breonna will also walk the owners through the steps in obtaining this document. They will continue to sponsor one grant every three months.
Starting a business can be somewhat daunting, but as long as you have support from platforms like TBON, you are destined to become a great business owner.
